10 Movie Spoilers For 2018 That We Already Know

The sequel to this highly-irreverent superhero smash has already been working the advertising gamut since its short accompanying Logan's release last March, which makes it all the more impressive that so little concrete detail has leaked about the film.

However, even our good friend Mr. Pool isn't perfect, and between a brief tease in the first official teaser trailer, and some on-set photos, it seems a franchise villain is set for a return.

In the final Bob Ross-esque shot of the trailer, right before cutting to the montage of actual footage, someone has painted a giant red blob of a character over Deadpool's peaceful scenery. Though unrefined, the red character is a clear outline of a massive, muscled, angry man in all red. And as longtime X-Men readers may recognize, that is a near perfect description of the villain Juggernaut, from the comics.

This works in conjunction with previously published on-set photos of actor Jack Kesy, as well as briefly-leaked audition tapes, to point towards Juggernaut making an appearance in the film. The sequel does look to be taking strides to further cementing itself as part of the larger X-men universe with the introduction of Cable and the inclusion of more X-related characters, and Juggernaut would certainly fit under that category.

The character was previously portrayed by Vinnie Jones in a prior X-Men film, but this is a franchise that has no problem switching actors out on a whim, as we saw in Deadpool's prior film with Colossus.

And in all honesty, with all the time traveling this franchise has done, and looks to be getting ready to do again, the continuity is so bat-s**t crazy that some recasting should really not come as much of a surprise.
