10 Movie & TV Spoilers We Didn’t Know Last Week (27th May)
4. Fox Are (Finally) Going To Reboot The League Of Extraordinary Gentleman
Can it be true? Apparently so! After failing to come up with a suitable TV version, 20th Century Fox have decided to reboot The League of Extraordinary Gentleman as a massive film franchise. John Davis and Davis Entertainment are set to produce such a thing, with Ira Napoliello and Matt Reilly charged with overseeing that everything goes smoothly. People have been rallying for this for years, of course, and now... well, it's finally happening. Fingers crossed that it doesn't turn out to be anything like the terrible and frankly laughable dreck that was the 2003 Sean Connery version, which could not have been further away from the tone or execution of the original Alan Moore comic in any way. It was also Connery's last ever film, by the way, which - given how bad it is - makes complete sense: anybody would have retired having seen themselves starring in it.
