6. Freeing Infected Animals - 28 Days Later

Jurassic World Rebirth Snickers
Fox Searchlight Pictures

The events of 28 Days Later, and therefore the entire ensuing franchise, are set in motion when a group of animal rights activists break into a lab and attempt to free a group of imprisoned chimpanzees.

But the activists are single-minded enough in their goal that they refuse to listen to the scientist who catches them in the act, warning them that the chips are infected with a highly contagious disease which can be transmitted from even just a drop of blood or saliva.

The activists continue with their mission, resulting in a Rage-infected chimp immediately attacking and infecting one of the group, in turn causing the infection to spread and leading to the wider outbreak across the U.K. mainland.

Freeing animals who are being experimented upon isn't inherently stupid, but when the person experimenting on them is warning you that they're incredibly dangerous, it might be worth listening to what they have to say.
