10 Movies ONLY MADE In Response To Film Critics
1. Uwe Boll Beat Up Film Critics In A Documentary - Raging Boll
And finally, we have surely one of the best-titled documentary films of all time.
Raging Boll chronicles the efforts of infamous filmmaker Uwe Boll to get back at the critics of his many terrible movies, most of them video game adaptations including House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, and Bloodrayne.
In 2006, Boll challenged five of his harshest critics to a 10-round boxing match each, the event dubbed "Raging Boll," as is captured in all its ludicrous glory in Dan Lee West's 2010 documentary.
Boll, who was an amateur boxer in his younger days, swiftly defeated all five opponents, while the film as a whole is basically a vehicle for Boll to "get his own back" on his many nay-sayers.
Unsurprisingly audiences are likely to come out of the movie divided, either admiring his passion for filmmaking or deriding his colossal ego - if not perhaps both.
Either way, it's certainly the most imaginative way that a filmmaker has dared to avenge their critically-mauled output.
