4. Gordon Wouldn't Have Been The Hero Gotham Actually Needed
The Movie: Batman Begins Toward the end of Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne soars into the Narrows in his Tumbler as Gotham begins to crack at the seams (more than usual), and there's no time for anything except for Bruce's efficient decisions. When he asks Gordon if the latter can drive stick, what would have happened if Gordon had said no? Batman can do a lot of things, but being in more than one place at the same time is generally not one of them, at least in Christopher Nolan's world. Ra's Al Ghul's plan may indeed have come to fruition. Maybe there was in fact hope on this one. Because with Bruce's plans, the option he chooses is usually very well-researched in advance, and is in fact the best and only possible outcome for success.
