10 Movies Scenes That You Probably Fast-Forwarded As A Kid

4. The Hunter - Bambi

There is something abrasive, silent and cold that might have only been rendered using animation that imbues Bambi's most iconic scene with all the dread and anxiety that has affected pretty much everyone who has sat down to watch it. One of Walt Disney's timeless classics, Bambi is rarely associated for anything other than the sequence where our young hero's mother is shot by an unseen hunter. This was the Mufasa moment for the kids of the '40s, don't you know? The rest of Bambi is drenched in a strange feeling of melancholy, of course, but no moment in the film is as painful as this one, as Bambi calls out for his fallen parent... and we know she won't be coming back. But this is an questionably traumatic point in kids' movie history... and one which children have presumably never been afraid of skipping, even today. If a simple act of fast-forwarding can prevent 10 minutes of relentless sobbing, then why the heck not?
