10 Movies That Abandoned Awesome Ideas Halfway Through

While many would argue that the original Jeepers Creepers ditched its early gut-wrenching suspense for a more conventional horror film later on, the sequel similarly offered up an alluring concept which it eventually abandoned.

Jeepers Creepers 2 changes things up by following a high school basketball team, whose school bus is targeted by the Creeper in the middle of nowhere.

Impressively, it appears for a time that the entirety of the film is going to be set on the bus as the trapped students attempt to find a way to elude the Creeper's grasp without running out into the open.

With a skilled enough writer this could've been an inspired, unique chamber piece of a sequel, yet by the hour mark this idea has largely been dropped, with the students deciding to exit the bus, where it descends into more typical slasher flick shenanigans.

Sure, setting the entire movie in the school bus would've been challenging creatively, but it also had the potential to make Jeepers Creepers 2 far more memorable and distinctive than it ultimately was.
