His name doesn’t carry much weight now, but there was a period when Emilio Estevez was shaping up to be a big star. The Young Guns and Mighty Duck movies did quite well for him, and it didn’t hurt being from a famous family that included Martin and Charlie Sheen.

He was also Tom Cruise’s best mate at one point, and when Tom visited the set of Young Guns he asked to play an uncredited henchman role in the finale. Emilio obliged, and years later returned the favour by making an uncredited appearance in Mission: Impossible as the team techie. The first act follows the rulebook of the TV show, where the IMF team are working together on a mission. Things take a turn

Things take a turn for the worst when they start dying, and poor Emilio is first on the chopping block. His character is caught on top of an elevator that flies towards the roof, where he gets impaled on a jagged piece of metal; ouch.
