10 Movies That Redeemed Hated Characters In A Single Scene
8. Regina George - Mean Girls
Despite being one of the most memorable and recognisable faces in teen comedy history, Mean Girls' Regina George was still very much a character that just about everyone watching utterly despised... and perhaps secretly wanted to be.
Frequently manipulating the students of North Shore High School in order to fulfil her needs, bullying and abusing those seemingly closest to her, and even being one of the minds behind the brutal Burn Book are just a handful of reasons to detest this obnoxious leader of the Plastics.
Yet, one shocking revelation, that Cady had been conspiring against her one-time mentor, and a school bus-induced broken spine later, we're ultimately given a montage which details how life changed in the wake of the Burn Book reveal and the Spring Fling dance. Here we see a recovered George using her rage to her advantage on the lacrosse field, making a bunch of new jock friends, and leaving her Plastics life behind for good.
Shame it took a near-death experience and inciting a high school riot to get there, but best to not linger on that part...
