10 Movies Today's Teens 'Need' Less Than Love, Simon

1. The Emoji Movie

There's really not much to say here. This film is the pinnacle of cash-grab filmmaking and pandering to the lowest common denominator of an audience.

If those lessons aren't bad enough, it also quite literally reduces its characters to be stereotyped and categorized by their physical appearance. The plot initially concerns the Meh emoji wishing to exhibit greater emotions and be more than what he is defined by, but the film can't even get the basic story right.

It's a travesty to anyone with anything resembling a brain and it's a blatant insult to teenagers. This kind of film is the absolute last thing they ever, ever 'need'.
