10 Movies Where An Actor Dies BEFORE Their Opening Credit!

1. Jeffrey Dean Morgan - Watchmen

Comedian Watchmen
Warner Bros.

As Zack Snyder's Watchmen opens, we get to see an aged Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) brutally beaten in his own home.

Battered from pillar to post by a mystery assailant as Nat King Cole's Unforgettable plays, this all concludes with the Comedian being hurled through a window and to his death. A quick camera freeze on the character's trademark badge is followed up by a shot of the Comedian's body flat out on the ground below, as a pool of blood begins to swarm the pavement.

With that, the familiar beats of Bob Dylan's The Times They Are A-Changin' start up as Watchmen begins its highly impressive opening credits montage, showcasing to audiences the world that they are now entering.

For Jeffrey Dean Morgan, his character was offed handily before the actor's name got to grace the starting credits, although Morgan would still get plenty of time in the spotlight thanks to Watchmen's numerous flashbacks.

In said flashbacks, we all got to see how Edward Blake, aka the Comedian, was largely a piece of sh*t human being - with murder, rape and general scummy behaviour shown to be commonplace for this key figure of the Minutemen and Watchmen groups.
