10 Movies Where Characters Get Trapped In Ridiculous Places

No, not that one. The horror film by Adam Green, of Hatchet fame. When their ski lift shuts down at the top of a freezing cold mountain pass, three friends become trapped for the night.

With the resort closed down, the kids face a terrible choice: stay on the ski lift and risk freezing to death, or attempt to get off it and most likely die from broken bones, exposure or the bloodthirsty wolves waiting below.

Like Open Water and its sequel, Frozen is set almost entirely on the place of its characters' stranding, yet is no less compelling for it. It's a ridiculous situation, but at the same time, an all-too plausible one. Thanks, but we'll (ski) pass on the lift next time.
