2. Wanda Maximoff - Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness
Wanda Maximoff has been on a journey unlike any other in the MCU. Since she lost both of her parents to a bombing when she was just a child, she has gone on to lose just about everything else she could possibly could.
Technically, her introduction to the MCU was as a villain after being recruited by Ultron, but she soon switched sides to the Avengers. Add her twin brother, her country, her love, her future, and any hope of happiness to the list of what she had lost in her life, and it's no wonder Wanda did what she did.
You could have made the argument that Wanda was the villain of WandaVision, as she imprisoned countless people within her Hex just to live out her fantasy and avoid dealing with her grief. Yet, when the Hex came down and she was forced to say goodbye to Vision (again) and the children she manifested, that's when Maximoff truly began to manipulate and utilise her powers as the Scarlet Witch.
Wanda's villainous turn in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was one fuelled by grief, loss, and the fact she would do absolutely anything to be with the children she knew existed in another universe (though she didn't seem too fussed about finding a world where Vision was there too).
