10 Movies Where The Post-Credit Scene Is The Best Part
8. Ralph Breaks The Internet
Though hardly one of the biggest names in Disney's extensive animated catalogue, Wreck-It Ralph enjoyed a decent enough introduction to the world in 2012, and was both popular and successful enough to warrant a sequel. Unfortunately, as is too often the case, the sophomore effort fell short of that initial magic.
In fairness, there's nothing inherently terrible about Ralph Breaks the Internet, but it is largely forgettable. One of the most striking moments came when Vanellope found herself surrounded by just about every Disney Princess you could imagine, as two of these characters were revisited for the post-credit scene. Kinda.
In 2015, it was announced that there would be a sequel to one of the biggest films in recent memory, Disney's Frozen. The highly anticipated event was given a release date of 2019, and so when Ralph Breaks the Internet came out in 2018, the filmmakers were able to have a bit of fun with the unprecedented anticipation for the return to Arendelle.
At the end of the credits, a sneak preview of the upcoming Frozen 2 was promised. Imagine the excitement and anticipation, children literally buzzing for what they were about to see. Well, what they saw, after a few snowflakes falling, was Ralph (John C. Reilly) himself singing Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley. That's right, Disney rewarded anyone who stayed through the credits with the greatest Rickroll of all time.
