10 Movies You Can't Remember Who The Villain Really Was

Matthew Vaughn's deliriously entertaining crime thriller is wholly concerned with the messy hierarchy of the British criminal underworld, so it's quite fitting that the man at the top of the pile is barely even a fixture in the movie at all.

Though there are numerous villainous and otherwise dubious characters presented throughout the film - in fact, virtuous people are in hugely short supply - Layer Cake's main antagonist is Dragan (Dragan Mićanović), a ruthless assassin working for a Serbian crime syndicate.

His appearances throughout the film are sporadic at best, often simply speaking to protagonist XXXX (Daniel Craig) over the phone, and typically keeping his back to the camera even when they do meet in person.

This is certainly a case where minimalism works, because it's not so much that Dragan is boring or badly written, but that the man at the top of the food chain simply isn't the focus of this story.
