7. Star Wars : Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith
Though the Star Wars landscape is growing more and more saturated every year, with 11 movies already in the books as well as multiple different ones on the horizon taking the franchise in different directions, with more Disney+ TV shows than you could shake a stick at, there was a time when there were just three Star Wars films.
After Return of the Jedi in 1983, there was nothing for nearly 20 years, when the prequel trilogy came along. The third (and best) of the three, Revenge of the Sith, will officially turn 20 years old in May 2025.
Time has done great work for the prequel trilogy. Though they weren't well-received at the time, much of the Star Wars fandom has reassessed in recent years, and found that perhaps they had treated them harshly, in particular one Hayden Christensen.
In 2005, the man who portrayed Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith was not a popular one, while 20 years later he is a beloved part of Star Wars history. His return in Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka were celebrated in 2022 and 2023 respectively, and it's a shame it took him so long to be given his flowers. But they are more than earned.
