5. Surtur

Surtur is one of the most powerful beings in Marvel comic books. He is on a par with Odin - a man who himself has the power to destroy galaxies. As such, he is far, far more powerful than Thor and, if he appears in Thor: Ragnarok, Thor and his allies will be in deep trouble. That's exactly what we expect to happen, though, as Loki and Hela release an army of monsters led by the incomprehensibly powerful fire demon and ruler of Muspelheim. With Surtur attacking Asgard, it could genuinely end up being the last we see of a number of Asgardians, as his assault will be too much for them to handle and could well kill several of them off. That being said, seeing such a mighty and aesthetically impressive villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be absolutely awesome.
