1. Carnage Will Be Venom's Brother Rather Than His Son
In the comic books, Carnage is Venom's "son" as Eddie Brock's Symbiote spawned the monster that would ultimately bond with Cletus Kasady during the prison break we mentioned a little earlier. Toxin, meanwhile, was Carnage's child, and that's how new Symbiotes were created up until recently.
Just like in the first movie, different aliens from Venom's home planet have since arrived on Earth, and seeing as the Symbiotes in the SUMC have their own distinct personality, it probably won't surprise you that this version of Carnage is said to be his brother.
The Life Foundation could have hidden more Symbiotes or another meteor might be on its way to Earth, but how Cletus comes into contact with his "other" is a huge mystery.
Either way, giving Carnage his own distinct personality and history with Venom means that we'll not only get to see a rivalry between Eddie and Cletus, but those two as well. That's going to add some depth to the film, and is hopefully something that pays off more than Venom's weird relationship with Riot.
