"I'll see you on the moon."

In a world of corrupt police, crime, and suffering, one man stands against the forces of evil: Arthur Poppington, a mentally confused, child-minded man who can't understand that this is the way the world is. He painfully fails to grasp much but he does know right from wrong.

A witty, gritty, and sweet film, Woody Harrelson's Defendor is a wonderful depiction of an idealistic, mentally challenged man who just wants to do the right thing. The grounded and three-dimensional characters provide a great juxtaposition for one man's ideology that plants the seeds of hope in ridiculous and touching ways.

The hilarious methods he uses to defeat crime are ingenious and wonderfully childlike at the same time. Walking through the secret 'Defendoor' and stepping into his vehicle 'Defendog', Arthur's commitment is clear from the outset.

His relationships with Kat Dennings' prostitute Angel and Clark Johnson's Captain Fairbanks instantly charm and prove for humorous conflict.

With high stakes drama and comedy, Defendor delivers on the superhero front. Despite its deviation from the norm it gives you a more honest, childlike perspective of heroism.
