10 Original Cuts Of Horror Movies We'll Sadly Never See
5. My Bloody Valentine (Full Uncut Version)
Once Halloween struck box-office gold back in 1978, the market practically exploded with holiday-themed slashers that were quick to cash in on the hype.
Perhaps the best and most well-respected of the bunch is My Bloody Valentine. A seriously dark and mean-spirited slasher, this movie sees an imposing figure in a miner's outfit looking to get revenge in the only way he knows how - by hacking attractive teenagers to death with whatever sharp object is close to hand.
One of the most notorious slasher films when it comes to censorship, My Bloody Valentine has seen numerous attempts to reinstate all of its cut footage over the years. It's been a long process, but as time has gone on, more and more of the missing reels have been sourced. Companies like Lionsgate and Shout Factory have done incredible work in restoring this much-loved classic.
However, the infamous 'double-drill impalement' has never been found, and many believe that it's gone for good. This one stings that little bit more because we're so close to having a complete, uncensored version of the film, but alas, My Bloody Valentine remains one hideous murder away from its full glory.
