10 (Other) Movies About Wrestling That Hollywood Needs To Make

6. Owen Hart's Death

The death of Owen Hart is without question one of the darkest days in the history of professional wrestling, as Hart, known for his clean lifestyle and responsible family-orientated attitude to his career, fell to his death from atop the Kemper Arena at 1999's Over the Edge pay-per-view while preparing to be lowered from the ceiling for his Blue Blazer gimmick. The tragedy was thankfully not broadcast to viewers at home - a promo was airing at the time - but it quickly placed a cloud over the remainder of the pay-per-view, which crassly continued as medics rushed to save Hart's life. Hart's legacy has lived on ever since thanks to his strong esteem from fans and wrestlers alike, though he still hasn't had the full Hall of Fame treatment due to his wife's reluctance to license his image only recently being resolved. Along with a sure-to-be-released DVD, how's about a movie, depicting his career, his notorious prankster personality, and his unfortunate demise?
