10 (Other) Movies About Wrestling That Hollywood Needs To Make

5. Eddie Guerrero's Life Story

The sudden death of Eddie Guerrero in November 2005 was a huge blow for the wrestling industry, as he was a perfect example of a guy who had fought his alcohol and drug-related demons and seemingly come out the other side. However, the toll of his prior abuse eventually caught up with him, and he died from heart failure the day that he was reportedly supposed to win the World Heavyweight Championship. There's a tragic irony to the fact that he had conquered all of his problems, and then was struck down in the prime of his resurgence and popularity. An outpouring of tributes followed for the extremely well-liked Guerrero, and his colourful personality combined with the tumultuous nature of his life would certainly make for a fascinating if heartbreaking movie all the same.
