10 Perfect Fantasy Castings For Upcoming Comic Book Movies

6. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau As Adam Warlock

Adam Warlock has been a bit of an elephant in the room for the MCU. It was excusable to not have him in the first Guardians movie, given just how many characters James Gunn managed to introduce, but things looked all set for the sequel. However, then he only appeared in a post credit scene which just teased his arrival.

Following that, the Guardians featured heavily in Avengers: Infinity War and in the final act of Endgame, but still no Warlock.

You can understand why he was kept back until after Thanos. Similar to Captain Marvel being largely sidelined in Endgame, the end of the saga was supposed to be about the OGs. It wouldn’t have made sense to have the mightily powerful Warlock arrive late in the day and turn the tide.

It’s even been speculated that Thor has joined the Guardians to help beef their stats before they encounter Warlock who, surely now, is coming in the next movie.

Ever since he was initially teased, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has been a fan favourite for the role. With Game Of Thrones finishing and his performance avoiding the bad press of Season 8, now seems the ideal time.
