10 Post-Credits Movie Scenes That Changed Everything
4. Street Fighter (1994)
Time for a bittersweet post-credits scene now, with 1994's infamous adaptation of hit video game Street Fighter.
Though in the climax of the film the malevolent General M. Bison (a brilliant Raul Julia) is apparently killed when Guile (Jean-Claude Van Damme) kicks him into his own monitor wall, the post-credits scene tells quite a different story.
Here we return to the ruins of Bison's base where his fist punches through the rubble, confirming him to somehow still be alive, before his base's systems reactivate and plot another round of world domination, setting up a sequel.
Of course Street Fighter II never happened despite the film's commercial success, in large part due to the wildly negative response from critics and fans alike.
Some have also pointed to the tragic passing of Bison actor Raul Julia - who died two months before the film's release - as another reason why the sequel never materialised.
All the same, there's something weirdly poignant about knowing that Julia's acclaimed iteration of Bison survived the events of the film and lives on in perpetuity, even if most fans admittedly didn't wait around long enough to see the scene.
