10 Powerful Villains Who Would Really Tear Up The Marvel Cinematic Universe

5. Pluto

Pluto Marvel Pluto is the Olympian god of the Underworld, death, and the dead, and is the reigning Monarch of Marvel's Hades. He is the oldest son of the Titan Cronus, but was consumed by his father at birth to prevent him from rebelling against him. His brother Zeus freed him and, after defeating their father, Pluto, Zeus and the other brother Neptune - as well as their sisters Hera, Hestia and Demeter - drew lots to divide Cronus' empire among them. It was by this method that Pluto gained control of the Underworld as the judge of the dead. The Marvel version, however, is a scheming god who plans to overthrow the other gods (including his own family members), which is a premise unique to Marvel (no traditional myth supports it). Pluto has a devastating array of powers, including the ability to manipulate high-level magical energies, superhuman strength, stamina and durability, immortality, a regenerative healing factor, an energy-draining touch, the ability to control the spirits of the dead and he also owns a helmet which grants him invisibility. In the comics, he has attempted to invade both Olympus, home of the Greek Gods and Asgard, home of Thor and his fellow Asgardians on numerous occasions. With his powers, if he was to appear in the MCU and attempt to invade Asgard, the likes of Odin and Thor (as well as any other heroes they recruited to assist their cause) would be in serious trouble. A live action version of the character would look amazing as well.
