But Superman, like most comic book characters, is always more than what any of us know. Despite all the time he's been around, and maybe because of that, Superman has been sentenced more than any other hero to preconceived notions and stereotype. On one hand, there are the people who of course don't want to like him "because he can do everything and has no emotions," but on the other you have those who do like him but haven't read enough about him to know how much ground Superman has truly covered in the comics, or in other media for that matter. Liking or not liking Superman for certain reasons is of course perfectly fine. But should we ruin what could be an enlightening experience for ourselves and others because of our preconceptions?
