An interesting factor that might play a part in the movie is how the events of Captain America: Winter Solider has played a role in Black Widow’s role as a spy. In Phase 1 films, Natasha was able to use secret identities during her missions to her benefit. However, during Captain America: Winter Solider, Natasha made the decision to expose S.H.I.E.L.D and HYDRA to the public, by leaking their secrets to the Internet.

Since this film is set after Captain America: Civil War, Natasha may find herself on the run from the government, after Ross was informed of the role the spy played in allowing Steve Rodgers and Bucky Barnes to escape.

Additionally, while exposing S.H.I.E.L.D and HYDRA, secrets may have also been released concerning Russian organisations, including the Red Room. An organisation which is built on producing spies for the secretive academy will likely be affected by the exposure of S.H.I.E.L.D. This could result in a clash with Natasha and her former classmates, due to their potential exposure from her actions.

Fundamentally, this film could pave the way for previous spies such as Yelena and Melina to be forced into the public eye and could lead them to having an influence on the MCU moving forward.
