10 Reasons DCEU Movies Will Never Catch Up To The MCU

5. There's No Plan In Place

With the MCU, it's clear that there's always a plan in place to build to whatever comes next. That's a source of frustration for some fans, of course, but for those who always have one eye to the future, it makes each of these movies even more exciting than the last.

With Warner Bros. and the DCEU, a plan simply does not exist. The Batman will reboot the Caped Crusader, but how does that fit into the rest of these franchises? Harley Quinn called her hyena "Bruce" after Bruce Wayne, but your guess is as good as ours when it comes to which version she was referring to. That's an example of just one major plot hole, but there are deeper issues here than continuity.

With no solid roadmap laid out for the future of the DCEU, fans are left completely in the dark about what comes next and, quite frankly, why they should even care. There are no team-ups, no crossovers, and no end goal with these movies. It's been said multiple times that Shazam and Black Adam may not meet for a while after their respective upcoming films, but what sense does that make?

Warner Bros. has no plan, and thereby no real way of getting moviegoers excited or invested.
