5. I've Seen The Godfather...12 Times
Certain movies require multiple viewings; the most recent one may be Inception or even The Master and I hear weird, but good things about Holy Motors. There are also other movies, which we just love to watch again. Iron Man's on FX again? I already saw it three times in the theater and own the Blu-Ray, but sure, why not? Then there are movies that you never want to see again; while The Lord of the Rings was a great trilogy, I've only seen each one once in theaters just because it's so long. I saw Les Miserables, the singing and acting was fine, but I really don't want to hear Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe sing for a while. The cinephile will watch certain movies that he or she enjoys over and over and over, and will make you watch it too. I love The Godfather, who doesn't? It's a classic and is arguably the greatest film ever made, and if I had a girlfriend who had never seen it, I'd take responsibility to make sure she did. Then I'd make her watch The Godfather Part II, then maybe go back to the first one so that she can really appreciate both films together as a continuation, then rewatch The Godfather Part II again for good measure. I guess we'd have to watch Part III to keep it even, even though I don't count that as a true Godfather film. If I would do this to another human being, then the cinephile will make sure his or her significant other has seen all the classics and re-watch certain ones again and again. Is this how you want to spend all your nights? Exactly. But if you really haven't seen The Godfather yet, go watch it and then Part II and then re-watch...
