10 Reasons The Force Awakens Is A Terrible Star Wars Title

2. Fails To Convey Any Specific Image

Whether or not you liked the film, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End had a title that worked, because the idea of being at the world's end was clear. We could all envision old pirate maps with "here be monsters" and the world's edge on them. Terminator 2: Judgment Day worked well for much the same reason. We were prepared for Judgment Day by the first movie. We knew that it would be the end of humanity as we knew it. We could visualize the future, in the world of Sarah Connor, being overrun with Terminators, littered with the remnants of humanity. The Force Awakens makes this rather hard, because you can't really visualize the Force, period.
