10 Reasons Guardians Of The Galaxy Might Fail

5. Lack Of Major Star Power

It would be a mistake to say that Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't have a superb cast, because it does: it's just that most of the major players aren't A-list stars. Chris Pratt, for one, is hilarious as Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation, and though he was fantastic in the recent The Lego Movie, it was a voice role and he of course doesn't show his face for even a nanosecond. We have yet to see if he has the chops to play the lead role in an action adventure movie, though of course, we'll all be rooting for him. Many of the more high-profile actors, such as Diesel, Cooper, Zoe Saldana and Benicio del Toro, will be appearing either in voice-over form or under a load of make-up. Granted, films like Avatar have proven that lesser-known lead actors can still equal box office dynamite, and hopefully this won't be a problem here.
