10 Reasons The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Best Days Are Behind It
6. The Focus Has Shifted To The DC Expanded Universe
The Marvel Cinematic universe isn't old hat, but given that it's 8 years old, it's no wonder that the thought of a DC Expanded Universe is exciting. Which isn't to say that the entire world is now more invested in the DC Expanded Universe, but given that what it has to offer us next is a new Batman movie, it's hard to not feel a bit more excited about the prospects it might bring to the table when compared to some of the projects in the Marvel pipeline. The defining moment within the realms of the MCU, after all, was The Avengers, and now that we've seen that movie, it's somewhat fair to assume that - aside from making The Avengers fight the Guardians of the Galaxy or something - there's probably not a lot else that Marvel can do to rival such an iconic moment; it was the reason for the existence of the MCU in the first place, after all. Whereas, right now, lingering on the edge of the start of the DC Universe is undeniably exciting.
