10 Reasons Marvel Shouldn't Mix The MCU And Netflix Characters
7. The Netflix Shows Are Better...
Based on the box office receipts, everybody clearly loves the MCU. They are often light, action-packed flicks and though there is nothing wrong with that, sometimes it's more satisfying to go a little deeper. This is where the TV shows come in.
Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are incredibly rich, detailed characters inhabiting living, breathing, crime-ridden cities and both of which we have been able to explore in great detail. Not to mention the equally intriguing villains that go along with our heroes.
Often the big screen output is shallow and aside from the main character's we don't usually get to know much about anyone else. It doesn't take much internet browsing to know that one of the major criticisms directed at the MCU is its distinct lack of memorable villains.
The episodic nature of the TV shows no doubt helps, but there's no excuse needed. The TV shows are better written and more imaginatively put together than the movies. The opening credits for Daredevil alone are more creative than anything the films have put on screen so far.
The action scenes may be bigger, but the compromise of reaching a wide audience is sometimes the quality.
