2. The Third Act Is Even Messier
BvS' third act is, by most accounts, a mess, what with the rushed arrival of Doomsday, sloppy final battle and out-of-nowhere death of Superman.
At least it's actually interesting to watch for the most part, no matter its flaws. Suicide Squad's third act flops with a thud and damn-near derails the whole thing.
We see the Squad facing off against Enchantress and Incubus in possibly the most tedious final battle of any superhero movie since last year's Fantastic Four, there's abusive use of slow-motion, some emotional beats that don't land and basically a general feeling of "Why?" and "This is the best they had?"
Again, this has mostly been left out of the trailers for good reason, and though BvS' finale was hardly great, it completely smokes this low-effort nonsense.
