10 Reasons The Marvel Cinematic Universe Is Doomed To Fail
8. The Best Characters Have Already Been Utilised/Are Unavailable
Okay, so say that when it comes time for Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Nick Fury, Black Widow and everyone else to move on because the actors are either exhausted or because these characters have been explored until they can be explored no more - with potential billion dollar enterprises on their hands, there's no way that Marvel Studios - nor Disney, for that matter - are going to say, "Okay, guys, we've done enough here: let's close it all down." Unfortunately for Marvel, the potential candidates for new movies aren't so great. Which is to say: the remaining Marvel characters that are yet to be adapted to the big screen aren't as well known or have little mainstream appeal compared to the likes of our beloved Avengers. Sure, Marvel has made less familiar characters like Black Widow popular, but could she alone entice fans to the cinema? Marvel aren't even sure whether to give the poor girl her own film right now, and she's at the height of her popularity! Another vexing problem, of course, lies with the fact that other massive characters are licensed elsewhere: can you imagine if the likes of Spider-Man or Wolverine could find their way into the MCU? Alas, it's not meant to be.
