10 Reasons Why Warner Brothers MUST Release The Snyder Cut
2. Fan Demand Is At An All-Time High (As Is Industry Support)
As is the case with most movements, #ReleaseTheSnyderCut seemed like a classic example of one that would quickly dwindle. After all, it was centered around a massive blockbuster that flopped, made by a director that many in the media dislike. Thankfully, that isn't what happened this time around. As last Sunday showed, support for the Director's Cut of Justice League is actually at an all-time high.
Last Sunday was the two-year anniversary of Justice League's original premiere, and Snyder Cut supporters were adamant that their desire to see the true film was impossible to ignore. After nearly hitting 800k total Tweets, #ReleaseTheSnyderCut hit #1 on Twitter's Trending section and didn't let go at any point.
The movement continued to snowball as everyone from the film's cinematographer to members of the League themself posted Tweets using the hashtag. Both supportive posts and cynical, snarky Tweets were made in response to the whole phenomenon, but what was important was every contribution to the discussion helped it maintain relevancy throughout the weekend.
Many have tried to shut down this movement by saying 'nobody cares' or 'nobody will watch it.' Well, as was illustrated by this incredible event, that couldn't be further from the truth.
