Most post-credit scenes fall into either the category of funny, giving audiences one last laugh before the curtain truly closes, or setting up a story that will be furthered down the line. However, Wish's was an incredibly sweet and touching scene, particularly essential to see for Disney fans.
Throughout the film, the people of Rosas get their wishes taken away by King Magnifico (Chris Pine), though of course they are all returned with the help of a literal star by the end. The message is to keep wishing, and it is heartwarming.
It was always the wish of Asha's grandfather to inspire people, and to make them happy. His wish was never granted by the King, but once it was returned to him, it was something he could aspire to once again.
