2. Woody Harrelson & Matthew McConaughey Might Be Brothers
From one bromance to another now, and in this case it might actually be a little more brotherly than anybody ever expected.
Beyond starring together in the first season of HBO's True Detective, it's little secret that Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey have been great friends for decades, but in a recent interview on Kelly Ripa's Let's Talk Off Camera podcast, McConaughey suggested there may in fact be more to it.
McConaughey revealed that, many years ago, his mother admitted that she knew Woody's father, with the implication being that she knew him in the biblical sense.
The Oscar-winning actor added that the group collectively figured out that Woody's father was on furlough at the time that McConaughey's parents were in the midst of a divorce, and so there was certainly an opportunity for a "connection" between the two.
To put it bluntly, it's entirely possible that Harrelson and McConaughey indeed have the same father and would therefore be half-brothers.
McConaughey added that though the pair have considered taking a DNA test to confirm the shared parentage, it's naturally a much weightier decision for himself, considering a positive match would mean that the man who raised him - his late father James - wasn't his biological father.
Harrelson and McConaughey have always seemed like two sides of the same coin, but who had "they might genuinely be related" on their 2023 bingo card? We'll have to wait and see whether or not Harrelson can convince his maybe-bro to bite the bullet and get a DNA test.
