7. The Coffee Table
First off, if you haven't seen the Spanish horror-comedy The Coffee Table yet, you should probably just go do that right now before anyone can spoil it for you.
With that in mind, we'll keep this entry somewhat vague. The synopsis seems to imply that the film is about a troubled couple who buy a cursed coffee table, causing all manner of darkly hilarious shenanigans.
But that couldn't really be further from the truth.
The Coffee Table really revolves around a deeply traumatic accident involving the coffee table which happens early in the film - just about the worst thing that most people could imagine happening to them in their lives.
The rest of the movie then follows the grim, gut-wrenchingly tense fallout of this incident, ensuring anyone who watched it expecting a more conventional haunting movie was left totally gobsmacked.
Brilliantly, the movie's trailer also plays dumb to its true concept, cleverly cutting around the shocking moment and making the film seem considerably more "normal" than it actually is.
