5. Introducing Trevor Slattery (Iron Man 3)

It goes without saying that the depiction of the Mandarin in Iron Man 3 did not go down well with the vast majority of comic book fans. The Mandarin character turned out to be an actor creating a front behind which Aldrich Killian could go about his dastardly deeds and the unveiling of the "fake" Mandarin character was almost farcical. Granted, it was a good display of acting from the great Ben Kingsley, but it just didn't fit in to the movie. Everyone was expecting a mighty foe who could challenge Iron Man in combat, but they were given a bumbling drunken Brit who spoke about how he'd made the toilet smell bad and "nodded off" when Tony Stark was talking to him.
