10 Ridiculous MCU Rumours We Hope Aren't True
4. Nightwatch Is A Secret Character (Spider-Man: Homecoming)
The Rumour: Bleeding Cool reported late last year that Sony employees had begun researching the character of Nightwatch, a costumed crusader caught in a time loop, suggesting he may have some involvement in Spider-Man: Homecoming as a secret additional character.
Why It Shouldn't Happen: Okay, he's an anti-hero, but does this movie really not have enough antagonists already? There's Vulture (Michael Keaton), Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine), Tinkerer (Michael Chernus) and Logan Marshall-Green's currently unknown baddie (rumoured to be a second Shocker). As such, some are justifiably worried that Homecoming won't learn lessons from previous Spidey movies, that too many villains (or even just characters) can spoil the broth.
How Likely Is It?: Five villains in one movie would be absolutely ridiculous, so this seems incredibly unlikely, short of perhaps a post-credits introduction. 2/10
