10 Ridiculous Stories Behind 2020 Movies

1. Director Straps Himself To Car Bonnet - Extraction

With most blockbusters originally slated for 2020 still delayed, the action genre has probably taken the biggest hit this past year. So it's no surprise that Extraction was so hyped up, finally giving a chance for die-hard fans to scratch that itch.

And Extraction unquestionably delivered on the action front. In particular, audiences couldn't stop talking about the impressive setpiece filmed to look like one continuous take that clocked in at a staggering 11 minutes 29 seconds. As you could imagine, the challenges it presented to the production were incredibly diverse, ranging from tattoo continuity to restrictions in prop guns that could be imported into India for shooting on location.

Out of all of the hurdles, the crux of shooting the sequence was orchestrating the car chase in an exciting way that made sense. Given director Sam Hargrave's stunt work background, he had already decided to hold the camera himself as he weaved through the action beats. This led to him being strapped to the hood of a car with his feet propped out the front, even managing to come out unscathed from a T-bone crash.

Being dedicated to the action craft is one thing, but this is on a whole other level.
