When The Blair Witch Project first came out in 1999, it was revolutionary in the horror genre. Many believed this was a true story and watched the fate of three real people happen in real-time.
While the entire movie is drenched in a creepy atmosphere, the scariest scene doesn't come until the film's end. Three students go out into the woods to make a movie about a local legend, the Blair Witch.
Part of the legend is that the witch influenced Rustin Parr to murder seven children, slaughtering them in pairs while one stood in the corner facing the wall.
As Heather and Mike hear Josh's antagonising screams in the witch's house, the pair quickly run to find him. However, they get separated and Mike is shown to have his camera knocked out of his hands, with the audience assuming from the Blair Witch.
Heather can be heard screaming for Mike and finds him standing in the corner of the house as the legend says, before her camera is knocked out of her hands. Heather's screams then abruptly stop, suggesting she's been killed by the Blair Witch.
