10 Scariest Movies Where No One Dies
1. The Stepford Wives
Based on Rosemary's Baby author Ira Levin's sharp socially satirical sci fi novel of the same name, 1975's horror comedy The Stepford Wives manages to never kill off a character onscreen despite inspiring the likes of 2017's blockbuster Blumhouse hit Get Out.
Starring Katharine Ross as a newly married young woman who is unsettled by the picture perfect compliance and cookie cutter similarities of the housewives populating her eponymous new hometown, this twisty sci fi takes its time revealing its big twist, only to close on a downbeat and darkly funny denouement which underlines the fear of conformity that defined much of seventies horror.
That said the film never shows the viewer any actual deaths, as working off dark implication alone results in an even more disturbing story.
