Well, wouldn't this have been fantastic? Predators, the non-awaited but still somewhat enjoyable sequel to Predator 2 (we have to pretend that all the Alien vs Predator films didn't happen), ended with two survivors of a horrific ordeal on a Predator-covered planet - played by Adrien Brody and Alice Braga - in an ambiguous situation, still vying to escape from certain doom. But things weren't always planned to end that way. In the film's original script, producer Robert Rodriguez wrote a final scene that saw Dutch - Schwarzenegger's character from the original film - landing on the planet next to Brody's Royce in the guise of a Predator, removing his helmet and uttering the '80s-styled line: "Not bad, kid. Not bad at all." That's right: Rodriguez's initial draft for Predators finished with a brilliantly self-referential moment that would have - in all likelihood - increased the box office gross for this sequel, because who wouldn't want to see Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising his role as Dutch in a badass cameo? Especially as the movie enigmatically cuts to black thereafter. Epic! Like this article? What do you think of these alternate sci-fi movie endings? Are they better or worse?
