10 Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming In 2015

5. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Legend

It's been 15 years now since Ang Lee's Oscar-winning epic became the highest-grossing foreign language film in American movie history. Featuring some of the greatest martial arts, direction, cinematography and music of the new decade, it's since been copied, referenced and parodied but never properly followed up. On August 28th, that changes. Unveiled some two years ago as a joint venture by The Weinstein Company and China Film Group, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Legend will be the first to premiere simultaneously in IMAX theatres and on streaming site Netflix. Based on the fifth and final book in the Crane Iron series (of which Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was based on the fourth), the film is a direct sequel and will see Michelle Yeoh reprise her role as Yu Shu Lien, with Chinese actor Donnie Yen cast in the titular part. Ang Lee won't be returning, but with Kill Bill and The Matrix choreographer Yuen Woo-ping behind the camera fans of the original can expect the breathtaking fight scenes to pack as much punch as the original.
