6. Vic Carter - Cargo (2017)
When a problematic situation becomes too much for a single person to handle, it is necessary to trust on the help that others can provide. And during a zombie outbreak, most situations are problematic. Andy Rose (played by Martin Freeman) knows this better than most, after he gets bitten by his zombified wife and is obliged to find someone to take care of her daughter in the next 48 hours. Amongst the candidates, a no-nonsense sniper guy doesn't seem like the worst choice possible... at first. However, Vic Carter soon reveals to have an explosive personality with little to no capacity for civilized conversation to resolve conflict. Instead, he prefers to pull the trigger.
Andy first meets Vic when the latter is trapped under heavy gas tanks, and is unable to move in case the infected show up for a quick snack. Even though he is in such a vulnerable position, Vic is skillful enough to shoot a miraculous bullet that saves Andy's life.
