10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About Batman V Superman
5. Luthor Creates Doomsday As His Personal Superman Using General Zod's Genes
People seem to have become entirely convinced that Doomsday, an iconic DC supervillain, is going to make an appearance in Batman V Superman - that he'll be the common threat that forces Supes and the Caped Crusader to put their differences aside and work as a team. Nobody knows how Doomsday will work his way into the story, however, and that's where this theory comes in: Luthor uses the corpse of General Zod to create him. In the comics, of course, Doomsday is a monster from the depths of Krypton, which means that - should he appear in the movie - he would most likely be linked to the planet in order to pose a threat to Superman. In a bid to wield an equal power to Superman, this theory has Luthor creating Doomsday as his own, personal Superman equivalent using genes culled from the corpse of General Zod, Michael Shannon's villain in Man Of Steel. This might seem highly elaborate in its execution, and some would argue that such a plot has no place in an already jam-packed picture. But considering that General Zod's frozen corpse can be glimpsed in the trailer, this theory actually holds quite a lot of weight, no?
