10 Smutty Movies Which Somehow Got Rated PG In The 1980s

That question of innocence comes up once again in director Ron Howard's breakthrough fantasy comedy, in which Tom Hanks' New Yorker is reunited with the mermaid who saved him from drowning years earlier. The unknowing, childlike nature of Daryl Hannah's Madison means she thinks nothing of wandering up to the Statue of Liberty totally nude - but again, is Howard's camera quite so innocent in lingering on her behind? Numerous instances of near-nudity from Hannah ensue, including moments when her breasts are visible. And just to up the smut factor, there's John Candy as Hanks' leering brother, with a taste for dropping pennies on the floor as a means to looking up women's skirts; again, not the sort of behaviour we tend to laugh off these days.
