10 Star Trek Cameos You (Probably) Missed

1. Harve Bennett - Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

Harve Bennett, along with Nicholas Meyer and Leonard Nimoy, could be considered one of the saviours of Star Trek, at least in the eighties. He produced and helped to develop the script for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, before writing the script for Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. He made a small cameo appearance in that film as the voice of a flight recorder.

He remained with the franchise for the following two films, finally appearing on-screen in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. He was Admiral Bob, the officer who orders Captain Kirk and the Enterprise-A to Nimbus III, where a hostage situation has arisen. He filmed his scenes on the first day of shooting, though this would be his final collaboration with the Star Trek franchise.

His ideas for the sixth film were largely ignored, which led to his departure from the series. He continued pitching his idea for a prequel movie, even after Enterprise had begun airing. He died in 2015, just two days before Leonard Nimoy passed away as well. Together, they had helped to revitalize the franchise and save Star Trek from oblivion.
